Structural Integration is a deep-tissue massage which uses strong pressure to relieve patterns of stress and impaired body functioning due to injuries and habitual patterns of movement or posture. In Structural Integration, your massage therapist uses their advanced knowledge of anatomy and physiology to lengthen, spread, and differentiate your muscles to relieve tightness, adhesions, and bring better alignment to your body.

Structural Integration practitioners use their advanced knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and kinesiology to work on scars, holding patterns, and chronic muscle tensions with the goal of long-term physiological and structural improvement. In other words, the goal is to heal long-term alignment problems you carry with you.

Many of the strokes used in Structural Integration, as with Rolfing, involve active client participation such as reaching and stretching during the massage to help break up adhesions and differentiate the muscles involved. Structural Integration sessions vary in duration from 60 to 80 minutes according to your exact physical needs.
